    Hi Ian

Great to see another Seaforth owner going for a major refit/ rebuild. I did a similar rebuild on mine so hopefully you might find it interesting just as I am finding yours.

Its a great boat and there is very little else like it on the water so its worth doing and should last you for many years. One thing I did do was replace the engine which was the biggest expense but has been brilliant . Its a beta 50hp and runs as sweet as a nut.

I also wanted to replace the batteries with lithium phosphate but at the time the cost was prohibitive. I would be interested in the setup that you have now with a view to upgrading mine as some future date.

There is an article in spring 2021  newsletter “Saving Veralan” which you might find interesting . In the meantime good luck with everything.

If you need any support my e mail is debandpaul@blueyonder.co.uk.  The boat is currently berthed at Brixham Marina

    Regards

    Paul
