    Has anybody replaced there rudder shoe ? The shoe on mine has been replaced in stainless and is suffering from corrosion and requires replacement. Could anyone suggest the best material to replace with and any tips  that may help ?

    Hi

    Was it made from A4 stainless steel and did it have an Anode on one of the bolts securing it to the Skegness?

    If so, it should last a long  time  (although anode needs to be replaced annually).

    Sorry – auto correct had changed skeg to Skegness!!

    Wd have had our boat 20 years and I have changed the anode annually and the bolts once.
