It looks like Gay Gauntlet has been saved. This week I put a guy in touch with the owner, who has agreed to sell the boat. Lets hope it is not too long before Gay Gauntlet is back where she should be, sailing…….

    Good to hear that.
I posted elsewhere that I believed that Gay Gauntlet should have been red, and may have been exposed at the 1978 Guernesey Boat Show.
I found the photo, 3 boats were exhibited, a white 27, the Malin , in white with sign writing « Macwester Malin » « Littlehampton », and a red Seaforth, which was had been ordered by (Captain) Alain and Angèla Harvey, from the River Dart School of Sailing, based at Stoke Gabriel, who were our agents for the south west, and Channel Islands. All that was over 40 years ago now, so some of the names escape me now.
We did have the privilege of meeting the Author Desmond Baggley, who was a friend of the Harvey’s for a dinner on board the Seaforth one evening.
