I am about to replace the fuel filter cartridge on my Macwester 27 Yanmar 1GM10 which appears simple enough . My question is has anyone got an inline fuel /water separator filter such as a CAV 296 besides the original fuel filter ? or do you rely on the original only .
My boat has only the original filter and I would like to add an inline filter .. what would you advise please ?
