On either side of the coach roof there are 2 covers which appear to provide some protection for small vents (see picture below). Not sure of their purpose they would appear to allow water in to channels on either side of the hatch that have nowhere to drain. Any reasons why I shouldn’t just seal these up?

I don’t have these on the MK1 but they are obviously there for goffer protection to stop them taking on big waves! The issue of sealing is if you would miss the vent?

Hi what is underneath when you take them off?

2 small holes that feed into a channel either side of the hatch that hold water but have nowhere to drain.

Could you post a picture of a slightly larger view? Can’t quite situate where that is.

Hopefully this gives more of the context, the 2 covers you can see are situated on top of the cabin roof at the raised section where the hatch slides in and out.
